I went to a bingo hall years ago with some friends from work just for fun...........there was a blue cloud of cigarette smoke about three feet thick, hovering in place, captured by the ceiling................the air was foul. Kind of like the glassed in smoke rooms in airports years ago.........you walk by and see these poor people inside a glass box, enveloped in smoke, smoking away. Hell.....I am just old enough to remember smoking sections on Braniff airline flights........ :s

Stay away from all those additional warrantees. That is where the money is made in a dealership. And find somewhere else to buy tires. Seems a bit high to me. $1000.00 for a set of four.

i buy all my tires at wal mart or wal mart .com .  i do this for the very reason you describe, their road hazard warranty is $10.00 per tire.  my daughter  has ruined several tires over the years with road debris usually going thru a sidewall.   wal mart has always replaced the tire free of charge.  the other advantage of using wal mart is no matter where you are in this country you are probably less than 30 mins from one.

The Traverse had the same size tire.   The cheapest I have ever gotten away with paying was $180 per tire.    I don't think I will continue to buy tires from the dealership.   I did this time, but this will be the last.

thats what i was saying about buying warranties from local establishments, you go to another location and you find your warranty doesnt apply.  this has bitten me in the past and why i use wal mart now, their warranty applies at every store no matter where you are.
