Colt Commander Model

I have a Colt Commander Model .45 ACP frame serial # CLW045xxx that I bought used in 1986. I am looking for a date of manufacture and the Colt site says nothing found. Right side of slide is marked Colt's Commander Model and left side Commander model Automatic Caliber 45. I know it is a light weight but can not get any more info. It has been carried more than fired so the finish shows that.

  1980 or 1981 depending on last three digits.  1981 started at CLW045254.
