I am trying some new canned products that I haven't eaten before and these are around .88/can. They are delish!! I am gonna buy a bunch of this stuff as well as try some of their other products. Plus they come from Effingham, S.C., just a couple of hours from me.

One can find lima beans in most stores, but not butter beans. Which slurps, because ham and butters is one of my all-time favorites. Canned anything is usually very high in salt, but if that's the price one has to pay, so be it. I envy you the find, Ricci.

That's a good inexpensive brand that I have a lot of. I tried their seasoned Lima Beans and thought they we really good. I have stocked up quite a bit over the last year or so. Wide variety.

You must have shot an E-mail to Food Lion. Was just there. This brand went from .88 cents ea. to "On Sale," 5 for $5.

Spam totally gone, as were a lot of the soups. Treet was available, no one buying.

Grabbed the last two really nice Boston Ferns. ".99 cents ea." Hit me for the full price, $12.00 ea. Had to go back inside. I knew something was wrong when they hit me with the total. Had left my readers on my forhead, where I could not find them. Went out to the car looking for the specs. Duh..............

I did notice the 60 oz. Cans of Heinz soup, either Tomato or Chicken Noodle were close to being wiped out. I have been grabbing 2 ea. time I go in. Reg. $4.99 ea. BOGO. i will score 120 oz of Chicken Noodle soup for $4.99 total, all day long. I have (a'hem) a few now. Will go good with my stash of inexpensive Saltines.

Makes me feel good seeing them on the shelf.

Here is another question. I have never seen Heinz soup on the shelf in the smaller cans you usually see. Why all of a sudden these large (60 oz.) cans show up? As well as things never seen before, like a pallet load of 25 lb. bags of Dark Wheat Flour. Gone in like 2/3days.

I also noticed on perusing my most recent SG Military Surplus catalog, (today) it was all about Prepper Supplies. Commercial/Military water containers, dehydrated food/MRE's, ammo, water filters, etc. etc.

Everyone senses something is on the horizon.

    Best be prepared.

I tried some Indian "inspired" (the dot kind) chick peas they were pretty good. I think it was S&B?

Smart & Final carries the big cans of Campbell's Chicken Noodle. Only place I seen them. Then again they got gallon size fruit cockktails in cans. If I were to buy one of those cans that's a commitment for the foreseeable future.

Had some butter beans at a Cracker Barrel in S.C. awhile back, not too bad.

Same here,.....I like a lot of beans, but those two are not on my list. Too chalky tasting IMO.
