Ruger Blackhawk with brass grip frame

I am the lucky owner of one of the rare brass framed Blackhawks. My gun is a 41 mag delivered in 1972 with a 61/2” barrel and factory brass frame. I have verified this with Ruger records and have a letter on the way. Because only 160 of these revolvers left the factory in this configuration I have not been able to find comparable guns to establish current value. Just wondering if anyone has seen one sell in recent history.

    First - Haven't see one sell - but you can do an advanced search for completed auctions and see what happens there.  In the mean time - 41st edition of the "Blue Book of Gun Values" - page 2027 - list the  "6-1/2" inch barrel as:  100% - $3250 -- 95% - $2600 -- 90% - $1200.  But be aware these values in the "Blue Book" don't necessarily reflect the real world values.  For example - my S&W model 29-2 with 4-inch barrel - magnaported and action work done list for $1300 and there is absolutely NO way I would sell it that amount.

    Don't count your 29-2 short. They are off the chart right now. I have seen them in the 1,800 to 2K selling range for a good one. The magna port does hurt the value though.

    Be sure to take pics with the grips removed if you list it.

    "chiefr" - I doubt that there is enough logging chain and a big enough John Deere tractor to drag that Ruger out of "Buck E"s hands - much less get him to sell it.  Best Regards - AQH

    I have decided to list this gun here on GB. I guess I’m more of a shooter than collector and this rare of a gun belongs in a collection. Thank you all for your info and I hope one of you gets a shot at it.
