At the VA for an appointment...

At the VA for an appointment.  You’re screened, masked (a cotton bandanna will suffice) and told to put a colored sticker (color based on destination clinic) on your clothes.   Anyone recall another time in history when people were told to sew colored patches on their clothes to control movement?  Does a yellow star ring a bell?  Man, are we being played.

    I have one on monday. (Cardiologist - to clear me for surgery.) They stress repeatedly the Covid protocol you must follow.

    Follow up "Community Care," in Boone for an Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist. (VA does not have that.) (?) Wonder if my nasal surgery will have to go through "Community Care," also?

    Our local "Community Care" facility was supposed to open, in our extremely rural County 6-7 mo. ago. Indefinitely postponed due to Covid. The regional VA, (about 2 hours away) is only seeing 25% of their normal patient load. Took me months to get in for a Cardiologist appt. to be cleared for a nasal surgery.

    I'm being sent to Boone to a Private practice Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist/Office. I am apprehensive about billing, based on you experience chronicled in the Veterans forum.

    Have the choice of the VA and Tricare with the Copays or Medicare.
    The VA is my last choice.
