    Thinking about 4rth model made in early 1900s to about WW1, just cause the state is not spelled out completely and no patent dates. Don't bet the ranch though. You have it covered I believe in your description.

    I'm no expert but I don't understand your problem.  You have it tagged as "Young American" and that is the model.  Mfg. 1887-1941.  With no letter prefix to the s/n it was made prior to 1940.

    Jeff, I reckon my problem is that I really like to accurately describe what I am selling.  I thought it was a Young America at first, until I saw a picture of a Young America.

    It is not a Young American. The only thing I might change is what I stated 4rth model, for the reason I gave and i think it is right. Either way it's an old pistol that won't command a lot but love those "custom grips", .  :)

    had one of those little 32 many moon ago.....with the sun behind i could shoot towards a light colored knob and see the bullet arch across and finally hit after lunch break.....like slow motion
