Winchester Model 73 auction question

I have a Winchester Model 73 up for auction and is one of the first auctions where I have sold something.   It is now less than 3 days till end and doesn't seem to be any interest (0 Bids).  I am considering ending early does anyone with experience have advice?  I am not planning on relisting if it doesn't sale, will just do something local. I did put it in the Antique Category.

    Most bidders wait until the auction is close to being over before they bid. If you feel that you have priced it fair, then you should have nothing to worry about. 73's are highly sought after..

    Nice caliber. Looks like a good entry level 73 and priced accordingly.. think it will sell if you let it run.

    There are a few sellers that state that the gun is for sale locally, and they must contact the seller before bidding. As a NR seller, that might turn a few bidders off. I would think that national, and international exposure here would give more exposure than a local sale, unless it is something specific to the item....

    Not inappropriate............members here plug auctions all the time. You're good to go.

    Thanks for the input, hoped I didn't want to start too high, but that was basically minimum for what I thought i wanted/should get.

    Nice rifle BTW......but out of my price range and won't fill a niche for me........  :)

    Unless you have a local buyer with cash in his hand, there is nothing to be gained by ending the auction early. As already mentioned, lot of buyers wait for what seems like the last possible minute before bidding. It remains unclear (to me) if this is some form of strategy,  but it is frustrating for sellers.

    I tend to wait on an auction to be close to ending before i go into full bid mode. It gives the buy it for nothing people a chance to get it out of their system, and less likely that someone will start placing bids at the minimum amount, and keep doing it, just to see how high i have gone. A lot of times, early on i will toss in a minimal bid, just to get it in my "Your bids" so i am not as likely to miss it, when i go looking at what i want to bid on.

    Seems fairly priced, leave it up i may bid at the end.

    As has been mentioned, many bidders wait until the last minute for whatever reason. Leave it up and see what happens.
    In your case you have what a bidder might consider a double negative situation.
    You have no history on GB and your payment method does not allow for credit card protection for a buyer.
    It is at least a small leap of faith to win a bid on a "new guy" auction and send what amounts to a cash payment hoping that no problems arise.
    No offense meant, just the perspective of a buyer.

    Yes I didn't know what to do about the payment as I am just an individual and have no way of taking credit cards, wish I could.
    UPDATE-----I did add Zelle don't know if that helps.

    RTBrent........I was born and raised in Amarillo, TX. Lee Bivins Elementary, Stephen F. Austin Jr. High, Tascosa High. Lived there 69-86.

    Cool even though you were a Rebel LOL!, Ex Sandie here,  That is why I was interested in Sandman's name, but funny thing is we lived on Mohawk St here for a while and still have a rent house there.   Ever get back this way?  Hollar if so.

    Thanks everyone for all the input and advise!  And actually couldn't have had a better outcome, bidding started yesterday, the last day and after a couple of bids someone stepped in and paid the full buy now price I had put on it maybe I should have left that off?

    Don't look back on that. You did good for 1rst time seller. Congrats on supporting Gunbroker, the best USA market period.
