Someone told me yesterday that it is illegal to own a 380 caliber pistol in California.Is that true?

  .50 BMG is the only banned caliber.

  Banned no but good luck finding anything on the shelf. My friends girlfriend did manage to get the Ruger right at the beginning of the Kung flu. You can also buy a .380 on the used market private party in California.
