I have never been a video game guy. Not even when I was deployed in the Navy- I would play cards or dominos before I would spend any of my little spare time on a video game.

I guess times are changing and the games have come a long way. I have 3 boys and they wanted a Nintendo “Switch”. The switch is a small game console that is portable which can also be plugged into a TV.

-Apparently COVID19 created huge demand in video games- so there was no Switch available to buy.

We had a hard week as a family, I won’t bore you with details but it was tough.

So yesterday I was feeling a bit soft and decided to buy them an X Box.

There was no X Box @Best Buy so I bought a Sony PlayStation 4, a few “lego” themed games, and a Monster truck game.

Right now I’m still in the “I don’t get it crowd”

but the kids are enjoying it.

Any video game words of wisdom for a new PlayStation owner?

  they are definitely a time killer one of my boys play them a lot more than the other

  My older boys will log on from where they are and play games with my 14 year old when he is at his mother's house.  They have head sets and can talk to each other while they play.   Given the age difference and distances involved (one is in AZ) it is a way for them to do something with their brother and have some conversation while doing it.  I appreciate their effort.
