The Ark finally landed on solid ground, and on the appointed day Noah threw open the doors, telling all the critters "Here is a new world! Go forth and multiply!"
All the critters scurried away happily, two by two. But soon there was a rustling in the brush and a sheepish little snake poked his head out.
"Excuse me Mister Noah, but do you have a piece of firewood?"
"Now why do you need firewood, my slithery friend? Setting the mood?"
"Well you see sir, we're Adders. We need logs to multiply."

We get a hatch of brown snakes every spring out by our log pile. Hope that helps

When you work with logarithms, multiplication is accomplished by adding the exponents, as long as the bases are the same. 1,000 is 10^3 in base-10 and 100,000 is 10^5 also in base-10. 1,000 x 100,000 = 100,000,000. Another way to write it is 10^(3+5) or 10^(8) which is 100,000,000. So when you’re using logs, you add to multiply.
