    Good shooting.

One has to be very confident in one's ability to take those first few shots.

That’s the way it’s done, DRT. First shots, the thug has lost his nerve and releases the hostage. After that, it’s all over.

That one won't play on my computer.  Here is another look at it.
That female cop made some good shots.  The bad guy was mighty close to the hostage.

Maybe more of this; maybe fewer would-be bad guys.
    Thank you.

Why didn’t they just shoot the knife out of his hand?

That was the Lone Ranger's trick. They don't teach that one in Utah.

I wonder how long it will take the legislature in the DPRK to require knives to be marked, Warning hostage taking may be hazardous to your health.

Might have been a nice looking and possibly useable type deer hunting knife. (or it may have been a black knife)

Tell ya what, Councilor...we'll do a re-enactment. We'll find some juiced up meth head, let him hold a Bowie knife to your throat.
And then we won't shoot him to save you.

Did the first shot or two actually hit him? If they did and I suppose the bullets hit their mark, that was so close. Wouldn't myself try that.
