Non-Class 3/DD/NFA items sold under this category under GB - question
Has anyone encountered a problem with selling/buying an item under the Class-3/NFA/DD category, which the item itself wasn't a Class 3/NFA/DD? For example, the Surefire Warcomp - its just a flash hider/muzzle brake hybrid but sold under this category. My question is this: has anyone encountered a problem with shipping/buying a Surefire Warcomp in a state where suppressors are banned? Delaware does not list the Surefire Warcomp as a prohibited item, however, I have come across a number of sellers on the vast of the internet who refuses to sell them to the few states that suppressors are banned. I assume they are just taking extra precautions on their end. I've called Surefire and they themselves state that it is not a suppressor, class 3/DD/NFA item. Has anyone encountered a situation like this before? I want to note that this is only to be used as a flash hider/muzzle brake. That is its only intended use.

The Gun Broker auction categories are simply a searching aids and are not official BATF firearm classifications. GB Sellers are free to set there own shipping restrictions, we have plenty of PO'd buyers in California who will attest to that, so you'll have to find a seller who will ship to you or buy the item directly from Surefire.

Thanks Mark. I was concerned since I've noticed a number of online stores refusing to sell this to Delaware and the other states where suppressors are currently banned, and the auction category threw me for a loop. I appreciate the information. 0
