Pretty good impact weapon
I'm doing a little cleaning here at the office cause I'm just naturally a cleanness nut. Ok, ok, I shot a little spring against the wall and I was hoping I could find it, fat chance. Anyway, I ended up with an AR15 spring and buffer laying on my desk and as I was storing it in a parts box it dawned on me, Hey, I could wear someone out with one of these things!! That five or six ounces of steel at the end of ten or twelve inches of heavy spring will really get moving if you flick it good and hard. Any of you urban commandos ever used anything like this??

On the rare occasion I manage to recover an errant takedown pin retaining spring, one or more of the coils is almost always kinked. I've often wondered what causes that?Ricci.Wright said:I'm doing a little cleaning here at the office cause I'm just naturally a cleanness nut. In any case, a dozen or more spare springs and detents are mandatory for anyone working on an AR:

Back in the early mists of time, when diosaurs still roamed the Earth, and law enforcement did not have Tasers, OC spray or beanbag rounds, a lot of us had one of these tucked in a pocket. About 10 ounces, lead on the end of a spring. And contrary to what you may remember in Cool Hand Luke, never hit them in the head. But right in the center of the chest will take the wind out of you. 0 -

I run mostly suppressed SBRs and use hydraulic buffers. Maybe a hydraulic buffer would be classified as less than lethal?Ricci.Wright said:Anyway, I ended up with an AR15 spring and buffer laying on my desk and as I was storing it in a parts box it dawned on me, Hey, I could wear someone out with one of these things!! Ricci- you have a good eye. That indeed was a Bucheimer Convoy. Of course, if you live where possession of a blackjack is not permitted, you might still own a coin purse. Can be worn clipped around your belt. Holds up to 13 ounces of.... I mean $5 worth of coins.

Due to the national coin shortage I put my ATM card into a sock. I don't think it will scare anyone.6 -

If you put your PIN on the outside, I'm sure that it will be fine.....mark christian said:https://forums.gunbroker.com/discussion/1893698/national-coin-shortage#latest
