The thread on corn made me hungry for some. My wife went to town for her daily radiation treatment, so I asked her to stop by the Amish wagon and see if they had any sweet corn. Boy did they ever!!!

Those are the biggest corn cobs I've ever seen and extremely tasty bi-color kernels. I can't wait for tomorrow so I can have some more. : :D:D

Edit: I had her bring a pot of water to a rolling boil, then put the corn in and boil it for 5 minutes. Came out almost perfect. Steaming would have been better, but not by much. MMMMMMMMMMMM


I don't know what happened to my picture, it was there a little while ago. :#

    We put up 25 dozen ears this year . Part cut off as cream style and part on the cob

    Will put 8 ears on the grill tonight.

    With any luck, there will be some left over for dinner tomorrow.

    Two ears of corn each of the last 4 nights for supper.....nothing like fresh corn on the cob !!!!!
