Down In North Soho
"Lola"- The Kinks
And I'd never ever kissed a woman before
But Lola smiled and took me by the hand
She said, "Dear boy, gonna make you a man"
Well, I'm not the world's most masculine man
But I know what I am and I'm glad I'm a man

Not the tranny song - oh no you didn't...
Don't get me wrong I grew up with it and it's a powerful piece of musical lyrical poetry in motion...
One of my favorites.
We had an unfortunate incident locally were a 3rd grade teacher who everyone called MS. Lola taught he class of kids to sing this song...
Till someone - patents I imagine pointed out that teaching little kids the tranny song might be inappropriate.
You know the whole dropped down on my knees verse is somewhat difficult to explain to little kids.
Never having been a corn fed Midwest boy visiting New York and exploring the LBGT scene myself I can't equate it's validity or commonality of theme amongst participant's.

O.K., this has gone far enough. Your 'clever' use of Asterisks doesn't fly anymore.
