Tsunami warning? WTH?
We’re under a tsunami warning tonight, there was a big shallow earthquake just a hop skip and jump away down in the Aleutians. Who saw THAT coming?! Red warning zone is within 5 miles of us. Hmmmm.

When my son moved to Hawaii, the residents told him " if you go to the beach and there's no water, run". I guess when a tsunami forms it draws the water out then sends it back. 0 -
Park the car on the hill.

When we lived in Colorado, tsunamis were not a real issue.
The tornadoes seemed to scare them away.
No matter WHERE you live, Mother Nature will find some means of letting you know that SHE still deals the cards.0 -
biggest ever tsunami was in Lituya Bay Alaska in 1958 when a 7.8 quake set loose a 40 million cubic yard rock slide and sent a wave across the bay that reached 1720 ft high on the other side.......here tornadoes or straight line winds from collapsing storms are our demons 0 -

It was from the 1958 Alaska quake you mention. That was a whopper. One quake in 1946 in Alaska registered 9.0 and caused another tsunami in Hawaii, too.
