Beautiful city in the mountains of nc . Just chock full of hippy dippy tree huggers and liberal weirdness . They have outbreed , out moved in the old mountaineers who had any common sense . If not for the weirdness I could see myself moving there if I ever left my beloved flatlands

Asheville is also the wicca/witch/warlock capitol of the east. Except for driving through the outskirts of Asheville going up I-26 to get on I-40 going west, that is as close as I get to Asheville. That place is slap plumb full of crazy people. If you start hanging around crazy people, first thing you know, nobody will know which one of you is the crazy one!!!
Not to mention that, at least to me, witchcraft and devil worship are one and the same. With my luck I would be walking down the street past a couple of those demon possessed witches and one of those demons would poke his demon buddy and point at me and go mmmm fresh meat!!!! I'm crazy enough without being possessed by a demon!!!!!
I'm really only half joking. I made the mistake of going to downtown Asheville about 6-7 years ago and my skin started crawling. I couldn't get out of Asheville fast enough!! And I haven't been back!!! 0 -

Having been there multiple times. I would say that Bannerman's Island on the Hudson is the Witch/Warlock capital of the East. If you have been on the Island in the last 20 years, you know what I'm talking about. You don't want to be there at night.
I believe 66-69 people died on the island when "The Castle," blew up. (And it is a very small island.)

I live 30 miles from Asheville. My girlfriend owns 4 rental houses there, these are nice middle class neighborhoods, brick houses built in 1970, worth about $340K each.
Shirley pays some big bucks every year in property tax. So if the goofballs in the Asheville City Council decide to start handing out cash to the Blacks, it will be Shirley who is paying the money.
Her houses are going for about $1900 a month each so that pretty much keeps the riff raf out, mostly middle class dentists and IP techs rent from her.
Yes Asheville is called "The San Francisco of the Southeast" and it is the most liberal city in the state. We do go downtown about twice a month to the HQ of the Freak District, Lexington Avenue. We have a great Indian restaurant down there.
You get to see all the tattoos, lip rings, electric purple hair etc. It is a freak show, but, they don't bother you it is kind of like going to the zoo.
I have had to give a little medical advice to some real aggressive panhandlers, and I told them it would be better for their health to take a step back they were getting a little close.0 -
I got a speeding ticket in that town one time back in 1980. The cop was sitting at the bottom of a mountain and unless you had your foot on the brake all the way down the mountain you're going to be speeding when you get to the bottom. He had a real attitude and really enjoyed his work. I told him that was a chicken**** thing to do to people. He told me to pull over to a near by convenient store to buy a money order to pay the fine. As we pulled into the parking lot the girl behind the counter saw us coming and already had the money order ready with an envelope. He sat in that spot and wrote tickets all day. SPOS! 0 -
I have a plan for reparations. They are going to whine forever and the goofballs will support them on it so lets go ahead and make reparations.
Give all PROVEN decendents of slaves a discount on their Federal Taxes of...say...5%. Give them their own tax table.
The more legitimate income they make the more "Reparation Cash" they can keep in their bank account.

KenGhana has a right of return law and any former African slave or descendant of a slave can go Ghana and live as a citizen.Non-stop flights from NY run about $1100 and that is round trip so a one way might be cheaper.

Used to go to Asheville often, gun shows, pawn shops, shopping, sister lives there. Down town is a sheet hole for sure.Talked to a friend the other day, he had taken the family, kids included, to the epicenter. Low an behold here comes, a lady, bad choice of words, bare naked from waist up. Not a care in the world. No place for adults let alone children. Yes fellows if it had been me I would have at least looked in that direction. Time for an observation, when a man is born one of the first things he sees is a nice milk container and after he is weaned he darn better not be caught looking a them again.
Guess what, 84 and I have the pleasure of living not far from Boone, NC, same thing only a smaller version. Arm pits of society.

so we have been paying some peoples way for three generations food housing cig and booze money cell phones free health care and endless programs set up just for the chosen ones .

if any of the bleeding hearts clear my conscious really feel that bad I would gladly allow them to give 1/4 even 1/2 more if they feel that bad of "there personal " income each year into a fund to help but keep your frigging fingers out of my pockets enough is enough0
