Don't know about the credit card, but the cash thing is supposedly due to a shortage of coins for making change due to, you guessed it, Covid-19 for some obscure reason. Around here businesses have started refusing to take cash for even minor purchases. "Wear your mask, stay apart, and don't bring cash!"

I should've relieved the shortage some. I cashed in 15 yrs worth  of accumulation when I was on furlough

Hahaha! You just triggered a funny memory I had forgotten. Some girl tried to pull this on my wife at a pet store a while back (before COVID stuff). My wife asked about the discrepancy, and the girl said she had rounded up for PETA support. "Uh Oh!," I thought, as I took a few steps back. Sure enough, my wife LOST HER MIND! Needless to say, she left with her change......and the money she was about to spend. It was a funny scene to see.

Our Utility Co. here does the same thing. "In order to help the needy." Told em'the one or two times i was ever late with my payment in 9 years, they were out to cut off my power.

How is that overage every single month for 9 years working out for me? Hhmmnn.....not very well.

Tried to elect out of it. Was told "It is not an elective." Hhmmnn.........so I have to round up my bill every month in your favor, and it is not optional? Rriiigghhtt.....................................

Pretty sure that would pay for one month of power for me, by now.

Well, Midway USA asks you to do that and give the excess to NRA so they can give away your rights with your money.

lets do some rounding up for example..store has 100 customers a day...up to the the next dollar can have an average of 50cts...so one day extra free is $50 dollar....now this store is open 7 days a week so that is $350 dollars a week and for 52 weeks a  year comes out to $18200 dollars FREE in their pocket ......??????    who wants to work ???
