There were no serious side effects. But more than half the study participants reported flu-like reactions to the shots that aren’t uncommon with other vaccines -- fatigue, headache, chills, fever and pain at the injection site. For three participants given the highest dose, those reactions were more severe; that dose isn’t being pursued.
Tuesday’s results only included younger adults. The first-step testing later was expanded to include dozens of older adults, the age group most at risk from COVID-19. Those results aren’t public yet but regulators are evaluating them. Fauci said final testing will include older adults, as well as people with chronic health conditions that make them more vulnerable to the virus — and Black and Latino populations likewise affected.
It looks like these young adults suffered the about the same effects they would suffered were they to have gotten the virus.
Glimmer of hope, or delay of normalcy to maximize clinical immunity over natural immunity?
No one would look towards a clinical approach for profit if a faster and cheaper means were available.

China Virus scares me but life must go on. I hope they get a vaccine by Thanksgiving, it would truly be a blessing. Did you hear some labs in FL were reporting almost 100% positive for China Virus? WHOOPS, the correct number was like 1/10th the number positives reported. If that is true, is FL a hot spot or are the numbers cooked? 0 -
