I must have wrote something wrong in the thread where I was seeking a rifle that ruffled your feathers.  I am not sure what I did or wrote that caused you to delete your post but I would appreciate you letting me know so I can learn from my mistakes.  I am going to look at the Ruger American in 308 today.  I will see what other rifles including the Tikka, Savage, Remington 700 and others they may have in stock.  I will let you know which one I drag home.

I don't have the brain to keyboard skills of Don McManus, Mrmike, yourself and others but I am trying.

Please accept my apology for my piss poor keyboard communication skills.  I am trying to do better.

  but the problem here is the smallest cartridge offered is the 6mm Creedmoor and this is still kind of a wildcat.

  This no longer true and hasn't been true for quite a while, since SAAMI has approved the cartridge and factory ammunition and components for reloading have been made available to the general public. As a matter of fact some versions of factory ammunition are proving to be exceedingly accurate.
