It's an homage to one of the early armalite variants available with "fancy" wood furniture...
The case hardening is perhaps a bridge to far but it's a matter of taste and opinion.
I know a gentleman whom sent turnbull a glenfield model 15 .22 rimfire bolt action rifle with plastic body scope and he has its wood swapped and the metal finished with bone and charcoal color case hardened receiver and straw colors applied - some copper wire inlay highlights and a weaver 330 scope installed...
He spent several thousand dollars and waited 16 months - for a glenfield model 15...
But who am I to speak out - my norinco jw15 has a claro XXXX custom stock on it and 12.5% nimske banknote engraving on the receiver and highlights in certain areas - and it's wearing a Leopold vari X III scope...
