Just Got the Call - Liver Transplant Time! (Update w/ PIC)
Answer to prayer. Liver just came available for my wife months before we could have hoped for. Goodbye cancer....hello fresh start!!!!
Prayers for the surgery appreciated......as well as for the donor's family.
Kickoff time is 0500. It was a mad scramble to get out the door and get here (2hr trip), as we were not at all prepared due to her position on the transplant list.

Wife is still doing great. So good, she could be out in 3-4 days. Amazing! A bit of pain, but well-controlled.
Thought I'd share this. It is her old liver (she is 38) when they got it out. Crazy! Docs said it was amazing it was functioning at all. Looks like a life-long alcoholic, or worse. And all of this damage from the body attacking itself in the years that led up to the cancer. Not one drop of alcohol in her whole life.
