Yesterday I bought Carrots, Bananas, Apples (Pink Ladies), 6 packages of King Oscar Kipper Snacks, a big jar of Big John's Pickled Eggs (very good and made in Davie, Fla.). Do grocery lists excite you Big Boy???? 0 -
Will start a very nice large/lean Corned Beef, with onions, carrots, potatoes, etc. In the next day or so, in the Crock Pot. Mmnnnn, .........................Mmmnnn..............................
Side of fresh Veggies. (To be determined.)
Have been eating about 3 ears of baked corn a day, for the last two weeks. Excellent fare. (Super Colon Blow, as the famous SNL skit goes.)
Please try and not argue/fight get this innocuous thread locked, a second time.

Thanks (?) Your input Ricci.
Yes. What other people are buying at the grocery store excites me. I am interested in what other people are cooking this time of year. (Particularly Veggies.) I tend to Cook, quite bit, and am rather good at it.
Recipes, are nice as well.
We really did not need a photo of your mal-formed foot. Cooking it might be pleasurable though, if it were still attached.

I have a wide variety of Cast Iron cooking appliances. From a large 16"skillet, to a med. to a small. A deep cast iron kettle, to a ridged cast iron griddle. Cast iron Rocks, in terms of heat retention.
Excellent for Meat, and/or Corn etc.
Love some fresh Veggies.
Will be doing a Birthday Crock Pot Corned Beef, Potatoes, Carrots and Onions tomorrow. Fresh Green Cabbage at the very end/on top. Good stuff. Mmmnnnn..............Mmmnn....................

My go to veggie this time of year is beet greens.
Lightly steamed, served clean.
Wilted with bacon grease.
Steamed and lightly sautéed in butter.
used to get them for free at the farmers market, but now have to pay for them attacked to beets.
The beets are excellent as well served in the same way as the greens.

Our garden tomatoes are just starting to come in. It will be tomato sandwiches, BLTs, tomato salads and tomato pasta sauces made with bunches and bunches of basil from our garden. We will eat tomatoes until late fall, maybe even early winter depending on how late it starts getting cold. Food wise this is my favorite time of year!!!!!!! 3
