I was just told...............

...... that I didn't know a thing about guns.
Customer told me that Remington says that the 870 slug barrel work on all their shotguns, 870/1100/11-87.
I told him the barrels do not interchange. He said that I sure didn't know anything about Remington shotguns.
He said he had put a 870 slug barrel on his 11-87 and it worked.
So,I told him to bring in his 11-87 with the 870 barrel on it and 5 fire five rounds semi-auto, that I would buy him a steak dinner. He said that he would. We'll see how this plays out.

    Heck, not all of the 20 gauge 870's barrels will work on all of the other 870 20 gauges.  :D

    I learned a long time ago, to never say never. In anything pertaining to guns. That 870 barrel might have had a gas port hole, drilled in it, by some shade tree gunsmith. Than you would be out, a steak dinner.

    I  look forward to the outcome of this one.....I have owed several 870's over the years and purchased extra barrels.  My understanding is the same as yours.....should be interesting, but I would stand back when he shoots..... B)

    I’m about tempted to go thru the safe.

    I have a smooth bore 11/87 barrel to see if it even matches up or even looks anywhere close with an 870 barrel.
