My dearly departed Mother , burned the kitchen 6 times in two years doing this and similar things . She had too many irons in the fire trying to keep up with twin 5 year old boys . I learned to to be a first class painter as a result .

My wife thinks a timer is for amateurs. She puts stuff in the microwave and pushes buttons until it starts. The air fryer always starts on 20 minutes. The oven? The food is done when she says it’s done.

you ever put a frozen pizza in the oven and forget to set the timer
I did not do that but when we first got married we lived in an in-law appt.  The landlord next door used to cook chicken gizzards for her dog.  She was getting older and set the timer and forgot the gizzards on the stove.

Was at a Kiwanas meeting with the landlord and we got toned for a fire.  When the address came over we realized it was our house.

Luckily just a lot of smoke no fire we just had to ventilate the smoke.
