My truck broke down and got a lift from a guy named Big Joe and a truck called Phantom 309 - Je took me to a truck stop and gave me a dollar for a cup of joe. I walked in and sat down and told the waitress that this cup was on Big Joe and Phantom 309! - The little diner got real quiet the busted out laughing said that Big Joe only gave out dimes - 🤔

ok a short story then my input maybe a few old truckers will remember him
when I was 16 /21 I would stock the grocery store twice a week ( where I worked ) me and one other official employee .
however I had several friends who would also help I had them trained to check prices on the cases would do correctly and made it more fun and each one had there own price marker and box cutter . they did it out of friend ship a bit of fun and the chips and pop ( soda to some of you ) they could eat .
they would leave a hour before the top manager showed up . a lot more to the story I will fill in some time .
any way the store had just a run of the mill 8 track am-fm stereo with speakers thru out the store the trucker part
well we had several Gene Tracy ( I think ) truck stop tapes we would listen too . thinking back it still brings a smile to my face he was funny as all get out my truck input sorry never drove . I had the chance but passed it up for a pepsi distributor
as for the store so many stories about the store a fast sample's riding motorcycles thru it , having TP fights , a few girlfriends help entertain me at night in the store what a great time in my life could fill a short story
one more the stock boys all three of us had a running competition we had to signal the truck back to the front doors to run the e conveyor thru to unload the products the challenge was to get the driver as close to the big lighted letters of the store name with out hitting them ,, needless to say they were hit and broke a few times our story we signaled the dang driver to stop but he must not have seen us
