    Since my truck is now a flat bed I looked into a flat bed camper as a possible way to go.  The things are 50- $70,000!  It is INSANE to spend 70K on a camper used so little.  If I travel I will just get a nice hotel and save the 70K.

    That doesn't work so well, when the place I want to recreate is >50 miles one way from the nearest flea bag motel.
