My Dad has passed away. He had a rough go of things for a while, but the suffering is over.

Locust Fork
Its been a rough day......but I can, at least, take comfort in the fact that he is no longer alone in a hospital and he spent the last of his time here knowing people cared about him.

    Thank you everyone.    Its an odd feeling when you lose a parent....something hard to describe, even when all your ducks are in a row and things were pretty evident that it was coming.   I've got a walking in water type feeling going on.....everything is heavy and slow.   I'm sure everything will be ok in a bit......for now I'm like a turtle wandering through my day.

    Condolences to you and your family. The hurt will fade, but the memories, NEVER. Just try to concentrate on all the good memories. That helped when my parents passed away.

    Perhaps you would do us the honor of posting a brief bio about your father and highlight some of the points in his life were he shined - some of the who what when where how why narratives contained in his back story...

    Im so sorry for you and his loved ones. I lost my Dad in 2014 and i am still suffering today. Prayers for you and yours. It does not get better in time but it does hurt a little less. Again prayers for all involved. David
