I have cut WAY back, however scooping out a large serving and then carving a pit into the middle and filling it ( I mean load it) with Hard Shell and then covering back over creates a special treat with your favorite Ice cream.

    LOL
my  wife just told me today she was cutting back she was on a binge for a few weeks every night  a big bowl of ice cream , ( no after 41 years  I say nothing and I see nothing ;)
I was averaging about every three days or so  the brand is homemade and we do like it . I can say for about six weeks we ate more ice cream than the last  three  years  easily

After the run-in with the VA doctor last year, nada. 30 lbs, over weight, and BP of 160 over 90. Just had to lay off.

Every time I passed a SONIC, had to stop for their largest strawberry milkshake.

Living out in the desert has it's advantages, temptation wise. As far as pigging, out is concerned.

I am guilty.  As most stated I too have to cut back and have stopped buying ice cream.

I started buying Double chocolate Klondike bars, then found Reeses Peanut Butter flavor and still eating both

I used to eat a big bowl of ice cream every evening for my 8:00 snack. I'm positive that's what contributed the most to my developing diabetes. I love ice cream, but I hardly ever eat it anymore.  :'(

One advantage of living so far in the sticks is that ice cream would be just a pool of thick liquid oozing on the floor of the old hatch back by the time I made it home from the store!

Of coarse I could always just bring a spoon along with me on my next grocery run.  Those piddly little things that represent what used to be half gallons are just single servings to an old ice cream aholic anyway!  :p

I had to see what this Frosty was, and today. Its a $3 cup of melting ice cream. Seems like Aldy brand. I melt whole ice cream often and for a lot less.
