  Based on the information in the article he wants me on his jury.   If someone tries to harm your family it is my opinion you can follow them as far and as long as it takes to resolve the issue.
  
  He may have broken the law when he left to follow the guy, but he didn't do anything wrong or mess up.   The man was a continued threat to his family and needed dealt with.   Right's not always legal.
