Why was the Meme dump thread closed???

I don't know about anyone else but hitting the Meme thread has been part of my daily routine for a long time now.  Many good laughs and/or things to ponder.  I'm assuming there was a reason for closing the thread, I'm just wondering what it was.

  It was past due.  Became a true dump,and I got tired of taking out the trash.
