Huh???  The M4 entered service in 1994,  Carbine is capable of burst fire, making it a machine gun.  Misses the cut off date (May 19 1986) by 8 years.  A Form 3 is used to transfer an NFA arm from one SOT dealer to another.   I seem to be missing something, but I never claimed to be the brightest bulb in the room.....

This probably more of a 'tongue-in-cheek' post with the title of BBQ gun?
We generally go 'round and 'round with the variations of what we all consider to be a BBQ gun. The usual reference is for a fancier than normal sidearm which can be carried concealed at a public event.
While your technical process mistakes are admirable to point out, this probably wasn't the goal of the post.

    Best.

Agree, I just thought that it was a pretty bad azz gun though... My personal go to bbq gun is my 4" S&W model 24....
