Possible New Record in Indy
Indy is two months early from previous years to have their 100th yearly homicide. This is one reason I moved from the new home I bought after leaving the Army in '65 and moved 25 miles away to the country in '82.

I've been to Indy twice: I went to the track museum twice, and I had the chance to drive around the old F1 portion of the track. I have a friend who lives in Zionsville. I should send him an email. 3 -
I remember my parents taking us to the time trials & the race several times in the 50s. I remember the loooong lines of cars to get into the infield but my biggest memory was that every place to eat for miles around charged at least FIFTY cents for a hamburger. When I got back home & told people no one would believe anyone would be crazy enough to pay that much for a hamburger.
I liked the looks of the old style cars The last race we went to was when Billy Vucovich was killed.0 -
If you ever make it back Mark, let me know. I haven't seen you since the Shot Show in Vegas many years ago. 0 -
I grew up just north of Indianapolis in a small town. Use to go there but stayed away from the west side where all the colored people were. Crime rate then was still high on that side of town. Spent tons of time in Speedway. Back then it was just the big town. It has grown into a little chicago.

sadly just like the rest of the country life has no value as seen every weekend in all the big cities now even smaller towns want a piece of the big city action
however if a LEO or non minority takes a life justified or not it then its a nation wide looting spree and ghetto lottery winner for the family
as for Indy I use to go every year with a group of buddies to the super chevy car show and swap meet and drag racing of course . lot of great memories of times shared with friends and family . that will just be memories now0 -
Had some first cousins on my moms side that were from Indiana. I always thought that they talked kind of funny! 0
