    I don't believe they chamber the 45  back in those years , come to think on it I don't think the 1894 was even made back then

    According to the 41st edition of the "Blue Book of Gun Values" - copyright 2020 - the Marlin Model 1894 was only produced in 25-20 -- 32-20 -- 38-40 -- & -- 44-40 and mfg 1894 -- 1934 -- so never produced in 45 colt or in 1959.  Best Regards - AdamsQuailHunter

    According to the 41st edition of the "Blue Book of Gun Values" - copyright 2020 - there is some modern production of the 1894 model such as the 1894S and the 1894 Limited Edition in 45 colt but neither of these were produced in 1959.
