found this near the Tuscarawas river in N.E. Ohio. 4"x2" hide scrapper???

Looks like a spear point to me. Being sharpened on both edges might make it a bit tough to hold for hide scrapin'. 3 -

Deer hunting many years ago we crossed a field that until then had never been tilled. Found a "perfect" stone ax head laying right on top of the ground! (3" X 7"). Also a "catch" that had old jugs, kerosine lamps, tools and the like. Still have a few of the jugs. 0 -

I agree, rodents chewing on bone or antler. Impossible to tell if it was a human used artifact before, but if bone or antler, unlikely, that needs really good conditions, like a dry cave, to survive long. 0
