Some GOOD news
We went to see Janet's surgeon this afternoon. The surrounding tissue of the tumor was clear. One of the lymph nodes closest to the tumor had just of few cells of cancer in it, but it was not near the surface of the gland.
The next step is that the surgeon is going to set up an appointment with an oncologist for radiation and chemotherapy. They will use chemo pills rather than the IV's, which hopefully will be much less troublesome. From now on she will have regular screenings for cancer in her future, but hopefully, she dodged the bullet and she will be free of it for the rest of her life.

Prayers for you and yours. As a cancer survivor i know 100% that being a caregiver is just as hard as having cancer yourself. I was ok with what happened with me when i had stage 4 cancer however i would wake up sometime and find my wife crying in the living room or kitchen and that was worse than me dying. Stay strong and encourage her and do the very best you can to take care of her. Prayers again. 0 -

Thanks everyone. Janet is doing a little better every day. The only issue she has now is a little seepage from one of the incisions, but other than that she is doing pretty good.
