We had 1/2 dozen of these in the shop in Georgia. Flies could get to be awful when the cows were left to graze in the field next to the shop so these were in constant use. But we didn't pay anywhere near the current price. We got them for around $19.00/each so nowhere near the $40 - $60.00 each that I see now.

I bought a couple of those for my son to use. He tried shooting hovering wood bees that were drilling into my porch roof rafters. Funny, as the air blew the bee away without the salt hitting them, need heavier shot I guess. They do work well on sitting flies and other bugs.
He told me I should use them to salt the steaks.0 -
I never knew something like this existed; dang, now you've made me spend some of my hard-earned money!
After viewing your link, I went back to Amazon and ordered the Lawn and Garden model. There are some pesky spiders that set off my Ring Floodlight Cameras at night and this just might help me eradicate them. Also, and this will bother some folks here, but it might help me seriously discourage some Phoebes that like to try and build their mud nests on the underside ledges of our front and back porches. My wife won't let me use my 16 gauge or 22/38 shot loads on them, well, it would kind of mess up the porch ceiling, so I've used blue painters tap to take away the ledges. I hate Phoebes, the mud nest building bastages!!!!!
Thanks!!!!!!!!0 -
I have a "standard" model. I is good on any bug up to wasp size. I took it to my hunting camp and turned the kids loose with it. The had a ball eradicating flies, spiders, wasps, and each other! Too close and it will raise a welt. We finally had to make a rule not to shoot people with it. 0 -
I like this idea. I only have one question. I have always been fond of wood and metal guns, if I buy one will I now be considered a plastic gun owner?
