1911 collectors

I feel the need to point this one out;

produced in 1918 by North American Arms in Quebec Canada. I have never heard of this one before. Of course I don't have much interest in em.

  While I have some limited 1911 knowledge and have handled / curated a Singer - this piece is unmarked territory for me - way to deep in the weeds for me to even begin to opine on properly - I had never heard of this manufacturer before your posted link...

  The edited description looks like a Mulligan to me - as if they acknowledge it could be a faked piece made to deceive or legitimate...

  For me I would have to be certain of its authenticity to bid at the $20,000.00 + level - I would have to know the authors who wrote the books and be in contact directly with the recognized expert scholars and keepers of data and ephemera in order to stay in it now...

  I am intrigued - curious - have no stake in the game - and don't know enough to even follow the expert debate and salient point identifying forensic details - might as well be deaf and mute.

  I am no expert on 1911s other than knowing the Singer is the Holy Grail of all. We have plenty of talent and knowledge here on the forum to offer an assessment. The pics are great as always from LSB. 
  LSB has been around for some time and I consider them first rate. They also have a return policy.

  There's a small group of high end collectors who are probably familiar with every known example of scarce 1911's such as this & the Singer (one is also currently being sold by LSB).  Like Perry Shooter, they are dying out, & sometimes an unknown example comes onto the market.  So, unless you know an expert, & have your own copy of Clawson's Big Book, it may be difficult to identify the real thing.  Even with high rez photos, even the experts are sometimes fooled.
