Per your request - a baker's dozen pictorial array focused on the pocket knife gun genre - an archival flip book on Swiss army guns...
An interesting avenue of firearms development sparked into overdrive as the quality and uniformity of the small pinfire case received some market penetration and acceptance along with the introduction of the self contained monolithic single unit metallic cartridge for use with the bored through cylinder (Rollin White)...
I imagine well researched reference and historical works on the subject - collectors associations - website forums - and tables at shows...
The split from such gems as the eglin cutlass pistol or the nambu ninja sword or the Scottish shield gun shall be considered separate categlorical niches...

Japan obscurity
Sword pistol Nambu (Type 14 or Type B "Baby Nambu").
The inscription on the sign:
This unusual item was captured by US forces during the Pacific Campaigns of World War II. It consists of a pistol known as the 7mm "Baby Nambu" and a samurai sword blade. This item was not a standard Japanese Army item and it is believed that the owner had it fabricated on his own initiative. It is further believed that it was intended to be used in frontal-type assaults.
The origin (and photograph) of this photo is unknown. Some sources (3 photo) say that this is the Type 14 (8 mm caliber).
On the first photo you can see that the have gun is missing the trigger and magazine. A normal sword has a stem to mount the arms, but whether in this case the stem is unknown. Probably blade hampered pistol shot, and the weight and dimensions of weapons did the use of the blade of the sword is very problematic. This weapons must have manifested itself with a worse side. Therefore, it is possible that it is a fake.
