    Best I can tell just scroll where you are going a click on it, cookie notice goes away.

    Most of what cookies does...from my understanding.....is keeps a little buffer of information loaded so everything runs faster.   All the tidbits and links floating around the screen, pictures, would take forever to load if you were coming back in "fresh" every time you came to a website.    So, it keeps a little smidgen of info on your computer.    Its like having the coffee pot ready and all you have to do is push the button.....instead of cleaning the old grounds out, cleaning things, and having to pour the water in the machine.    I clear my cookies from time to time just to keep things from being bogged down, but that might be unnecessary these days.     Everything I learned about computers was from a 1984 semester of high school and video games.

    Some people just have to have something to complain about. The cookies are the current thing but they have been with us for a very long time. They won’t hurt you.

    Any site you sign in on stores cookies for the session, or you would be logged out. 

    The new warning is more of a disclaimer/disclosure than anything. If you click ok or not is irrelevant the cookies are used. If you don't want cookies, turn off cookies in your browser and you won't be able to log in.

    Use Firefox browser and duck duck go search engine and see pop ups no more.

    You DO realize that you can set your browser to delete your cookies when you close your window? At least, in FireFox, it works for me ...
