Haircut

That's the great thing about the U.S.A., both you and the business have the freedom to choose. Bob 0 -
Some states are mandating masks, Bobjudy.
Neither the customer or the business owner has the freedom to choose.
A 'peaceful protest' against the mask requirement will get you a fine and will get the business closed down.
Not seeing a whole lot of great in the USA at the moment.6 -
Yes but it is still his choice to comply and get a haircut or not. Seems to me the mask wearing is too small an issue to make a big deal about it. Will it be the foot in the door for bigger things? I don't know and will wait to see. Even the blue states are losing in court in this regard. Reference the Michigan barber that just won his case against the state's draconian measures. Bob 0 -
You are correct, Bob, regarding less than necessary things such as haircuts.
When a state such a Maryland (see link below) mandates face coverings for all food service establishments, grocery stores, pharmacies, etc. it is no longer a choice.

Perhaps the mandated wearing of a mask is not a big deal. For a while, I would put one on if in an area where 90%+ of the people were wearing them, as it was apparent that people were nervous and I did not want to create angst in anyone. At this point, given what we now know about this virus and the fairly obvious fact that a very large percentage of us have already contracted it at some point, I no longer carry one and will not enter an establishment that mandates one. It is mandated conformance based upon little more than government instituted virtue signalling with its origins in 'we have to do something' much more than in science or reality.0 -
I was able to get my hair cut on May 15th after about 3 1/2 months of growth; it was pretty shaggy!!!!! At that time, all of the stylist/barbers where I get my hair cut had to wear masks, but it was optional for their customers if their stylist/barber was okay with the person in the chair not wearing a mask. Thankfully, my stylist told me if I didn't want to wear a mask, I didn't have to, so I removed it. 0 -
The whole damn thing is BS, we as a country closed down private businesses like Barbers, restaurants, much retail Etc. while we allowed Home Depot and especially Wal-mart to sell everything because they sell groceries. If I were a retailer I would have gone out and bought ten cases of anything food related I could have gotten my hands on and stayed open since I was now a essential grocery store. Same as Barbers if they had sold ham could they have stayed open?
I have an associate who is an architect, he had connections and jumped in to get a PPP loan ASAP, they never lost a dime to hear him tell it while bragging about Uncle Sam taking on his payroll with a loan he gets to be relieved from paying.
Who knew that Uncle Sam not only bailed out the Airlines and others but took warrants to buy the stock at a set price, (much higher than it was at)? Of course the market is up and people are buying crap like Hertz which wasn't making any money PRE pandemic, or Lukin, American Airlines etc.
When Uncle Sam's presses run out of ink this SHOULD crash hard but then nothing is as it should be lOL

I view it like carrying a firearm. A choice that I make to protect myself and others. Frankly, I can't see how a man, baring some physical ailment that would proscribe otherwise, would be unwilling to make that kind of sacrifice, particularly given how small a sacrifice it is. But that's just me. You're certainly free to choose how you're going to act. 3 -
How are they going to cut the hair when the straps go around the ears or around the back of the head. I will have a woman come by the house and cut it on the deck. Oh.. I told the little gal at the haircut place... that is great someone else gets the 7 buck tip. 0 -
What if the state says, you have to take a Wuhan virus test and carry a card showing you had the test before you can inter any public building? Take your business else where, there are plenty of barbers out there willing to cut your hair. I got my hair cut about a month ago, he charged me an extra $10 but that was alright with me. I notice are governor of Illinois, J.B. Fatpuck never looks like he needs a haircut, and what did the mayor of Chicago, Lori Lightfoot say when asked why she got a haircut 6 weeks ago, “ I take my personal hygiene very seriously”. Trust me, after you have had your first illegal haircut you will never go back.

My haircut girl said NO MASK NO PROBLEM, she is as cute as a new hundred. And I got a good cut. She along with me dislikes our current Commandant and his hand picked stooges in Illinois. In our county pretty much screw the mask although they put up the signs on their doors to save themselves from Colonel Prickster. The great gov. everyday goes in a spiel BUT they have photos of him on his yacht on Lake Michigan with about 20 people and not one has any care in the world with mask and "UNSOCIAL DISTANCING". How convenient. 0 -
My bride has been cutting mine.

Ray Charles could cut your hair as it would still look great. 3 -
My wife cut my hair and it looks like a 5 year old found scissors and cut the 3 year olds hair. 0 -
I cut my own. Looks so great I'm never going to a barber again

Uh, the way you get a haircut while wearing a mask with ear loops is:
1) take 1 ear loop off & hold the mask against your nose & mouth with your hand,2) for the barber to do the other side, reverse the procedure.Neal

Couple days ago my daughter cut my hair on the deck while my little dog "Willie" watched her. She did a great job and "Willie" found his old friend under 3.5 months of hair. I noticed that some of the Wrens picked some of the hair up that I blew off deck with leaf blower. They use it for nesting material. 0 -

It is... Taking the mask loose to get coverage could cause a massive spread of contamination. Read it is actually unhealthy to wear a mask . My choice.0 -
I've cut my and my son's hair twice. That hair cuts look fine. I'm not sure it's worth what I'm saving though. 0 -
Most of the hair on my head fell out years ago so now I just comb my nose and ear hair up over my head and tie it off in a pony tail. 0 -

Several years ago I bought a set of Wahl USA clippers, and found a 1/2 guard for it on ebay. It leaves my hair 1/16" long, nice being able to get a haircut anytime! 0
