Dentist's
I have them in the same classification as used car salesmen. Slick, deceitful and some words I'm not allowed to use.
Feel free to add words to their description.
They are going to start charging at least $20 additional to appointments for the additional steps they have to take TO KEEP THEMSELVES SAFE during your exam.

Most of us pay little or no attention to the billing until the insurance has a go at it. My dentist files directly with my insurance before I ever get to read it. But they (the dental staff) are trustworthy so I allow it.- The last time I had to use the car dealership for a repair, the bill contained a line item for 'disposable shop products', so I asked for an explanation from the billing department. It was for the paper towels, hand soap and other incidentals which were consumed while performing the work on my vehicle. The dealership had taken the time to analyze and assess the cost of disposables for many of the common jobs they performed and added a cost to the final billing on all work completed in their shop. I explained to the lady answering that at $150/hour shop labor cost, they would get no more work from me.
No matter how you cut it, it seems that too many folks want a bigger slice of the pie, often turning reputable businesses into what appears to be a racket. This is not to be construed as using the wide brush but the smaller, detail brush for the individuals not the sector as whole.

An internet provider we had at our residence started charging a "pole rental" fee of $1.00/mth. 0 -
Which one of his possessions are we discussing exactly? 3 -
propane supplier tried that crap on me at the lake place wanted a $90 a year rental fee on a 500 gallon tank because i was a smaller usage ... i took my own 500 gal tank over and had the new supplier pump it out into mine and then finish filling my tank..paid em ...called the first bozo and told him to pick up his tank and get it off my property before i started charging a storage fee. crooks 0 -
My dentist is a pretty good guy, Straight forward, doesn't try to sell extra BS. He also bird hunts and runs german short hair pointers. 3 -
My brother remodeled a house, made it an all electric. He contacted the gas company to tell them they needed to come get their meter. They instead sent him a gas bill at the minimum rate! He then called them to pick up the meter since he had it laying in the gutter in front of his house, along with about 30' of pipe he removed from his yard. He had found a coupling out near the street, installed a plug, and filled the ditch. 0 -

This was announced on the NEWS few days ago when reporting the Covid 19 plague.
Really, more info than I need.
I'm trying to find toilet paper. Might have to go to the Dentist and use their toilet paper.0 -
No problem with current dentist. He will just add it to my insurance. 3 -
The last time I went to a Dentist, the inept SOB attempted a high dollar "root canal" project on a lower molar AND FAILED. His ineptitude resulted in loss of the tooth. Three years later, I'm going to have to get the upper molar opposite the lost tooth removed after it shifted position and has become loose in it's socket. I have an almost uncontrollable urge to beat the stupid SOB dentist(?) with a claw hammer. 3 -
just left my "new dentist " 2nd time seeing her
whats was funny while talking about work my wife was off a day or so over a computer hacking problem at the company she is working at
she ( the dentist ) said my dad worked there , I ask what was his name as I retired from the place.
when she told me here dads name all could do was laugh .
him and I worked together for years early on at the company
after sharing a few stories I said you know how much older I feel right now , that a old co-worker buddy's daughter is now my dentist ..
but then it was just about 32 years ago when we (her dad) met and started working with each other ..
I was a bit shy in telling about his drinking abilities, he could down a mug of beer as fast as I could dump one on the ground
she laughed and say he still does it and would show off when she was a bit younger her buddies would stop over and he would show off still a favorite trick of his that a old fellow could beat them in drinking ..0 -
They scare the beejeebers out of me. I do not understand why you have to pay huge prices to get painful, torturous things done to your body. Go to a bar, pick the biggest guy there and tell him his momma is a fat slovenly pig that sleeps with the whole town. He will punch you in the mouth free of charge and at least you got a beer or two out of the deal first. Dentists scare the ever-loving-crap outta me. 0 -
so far my new dentist has been great friendly and really seems to know her stuff . up front and straight forward on what she is doing and going to do along with a printed out price sheet
but honestly all the dentist I have visited in my life all have been good people maybe being in a small town made a difference?0
