Picked up a Toyota Rav4
Traded in the 2017 VW Jetta.
The Jetta was fun to drive with it's 5 speed manual transmission. However crawling into it was not so fun. Plus the lack of ground clearance on our rocky rutted private road was getting old.
Picked up an AWD 2020 Toyota Rav4 TRD Off Road with all the bells and whistles. Liking it so far. Has 5 cameras for birds-eye view, plus cooled and heated seats. Really holds the curves here in the Ozarks plus it moves out pretty quick.

Wife is on her 4th one (lease them) she has liked each one. I think the current one is the one we'll finance out to keep. That will have it paid off before she retires. 3 -

Friend of mine just bought one of those in a Hybrid, it's like a hawaiian blue....traded his tacoma for it..I kinda think he's nutz but to each their own. 3 -

They had 0% financing on the Rav4, Tacoma, and Tundra. The plandemic hasn't slowed car sales.
We originally went there to have Brad test drive a loaded Tacoma Off Road with a 6 speed manual. I test drove one before buying my 4Runner. It felt too cramped inside for me. I figured if Brad liked the Taco, I'd sell my Frontier. No point in having 2 pickups. Apples vs Oranges but the Jetta w/ it's 5 speed manual and tiny 1.6 turbo is a race car compared to the Taco with it's 6 speed manual a V6. The Taco handles curves and corners like a pickup. - slowy.
I had our sales guy hold the keys for the Tacoma as we test drove the Rav4. Car vs a Truck & 8 speed automatic transmission (non-cvt) vs 6 speed manual, the Rav4 handles better on road and accelerates faster than the Taco. With all technology in it, I'd say it's safer than a Taco.
I don't really care for the 2 tone top but Brad likes it. The Off Road Rav4 package comes with things that I'd likely add to a lower version - Trd suspension, black wheels, and Falken Wildpeak Trail tires. While the Jetta was fun to drive, the Rav4 handles even better with its AWD.
Note the Taco sold as soon my salesman released the keys. The dealer was down to 3 Tacos and 2 Rav4's when we left. I probably should've waited to see what the Ford Bronco has to offer & at what price point - oh well...

AWESOME!!!!! I really like those. I checked it out when we were looking at the Highlander......they are wonderful. That camera ordeal is pretty weird, ours has that too. It'll take some getting used to for me. 3 -

The Highlander sticker price is always a shocker to me. Maybe I've only seen loaded ones at our local Toyota dealer.

Smart move. The resale values of Toyotas are much more than their UAW competition. Dealer here can barely keep Tacos, Tundras, Highlanders, and Rav4s on the lot and they are the largest dealer in the state. 3 -
found a 2002 rav4 awd auto ...i have a total now of 143K miles on it ....runs great but has some road noise 3 -
TOYOTA-Yes, and I'm a buy America person except for vehicles unfortunately. Still have a 79 Land Cruiser in the back garage and presently driving a 2011 Tundra. 3 -
Nice choice of a new ride, congrats! We've been Toyota and Lexus only folks since we bought our first Toyota in 1977; a 77 Celica Hatchback. We keep our vehicles for a long time, take care of them, and put lots of miles on them; our 1989 Camry had 408,063 miles on it when we donated it to Make-A-Wish Foundation and bought our 2003 Lexus ES300. We still have the Lexus ES300 and a 2015 Lexus RX350 (replaced our 1993 Toyota 4Runner SR5). 3 -

The wife’s 1998 Honda CRV was getting long in the tooth so we sold it and bought a 2019 RAV4 XLE. I really like it although wish it had a V6. It’s a little tank in the snow with AWD.

I considered the RAV but went for the 4Runner - steel frame!
