Stupid "Civil Unrest"
So my hand guard has been stuck in Hodgkins, IL according to the ups tracker since June 2. If there be lootin' why bother going there? Habit? I guess all ups packages visit Hodgkins. It was supposed to be here Monday June 8th. Are they still wilding out and looting in IL still? I know they got no jobs to go to but come on take a break so I can get my Maten built. I wonder when the package gets to California if it'll do that parallel again San Marcos to Sacramento to Oakland? I really got to look how they ship before ordering from sellers.

ups blaming civil unrest for not delivering my package on time got moved to politics? I thought I was going crazy thinking "I know I posted this in general I haven't been drinking that much today". 0 -
It's probably just real busy. I don't recall hearing of any rioting in Hodgkins. Maybe the workforce is not showing up and maybe social distancing rules have slowed their operation. The SW suburbs have been pretty peaceful. 0 -
So it landed in West Sacramento back in June 10th then to Oakland where "delayed due to events beyond our control" again. But they stated delivery on Friday the 12th. Sat by and waited all of Friday starting 10:00 A.M. to 23:00 P.M. (an extra hour of 9:00 P.M. window) only to find they went and blamed "delayed due to events beyond our control" and posted it at 22:00 P.M.. Wasted a whole day. We'll see if it's stuck in Oakland for a week. 0 -
Oh they also updated yesterday stating "delayed due to events beyond our control" at 05:00 A.M. not that they'll deliver on Saturday. Also I'm imagining them acting like Jake Blues in a tunnel trying to get sympathies from Carrie Fisher. I wonder if they just make the computer send out automated "updates" so they can have a cook out on the loading dock? 0 -
We all know with night scopes and sub-sonic ammunition with a silencer that they could pick off a few looters and leave them on the streets for a while then the looting would stop, but they are not prepared to do that yet but if it got really serious they would. Let's say they decided to go to The Speaker of the house private residence to burn it down or something like that what might happen to preserve the peace then.

So they claim my package at 10:48 A.M. Departed Oakland. I'm imagining "Escape From New York" style but being Oakland I'm thinking "Blackhawk Down". Oakland has been gentrified (some) since the days of Crack Wars of the '80s and it's more hipsters and tech-people who couldn't find housing across the bay. Maybe Monday I'll get the package without having to stay up until 9:00 P.M. on a work night. 0 -
serf - This is California where you have to pass a background check to buy ammo and buying a can is more like a dream. Unless one bought those oil catch can adapter or a 2 liter and duct tape on the end of the barrel "Angel's Dance" style. Shooting folks on the streets of San Francisco only by cops these days. Actually more B.A.R.T. cops shooting folks. The people doing the lootin' work for pelosi so that house has poop free side walks and there is no way that place will burn. Unless she needs sympathy to stay as the "speaker" then she might hire someone to make that happen. 0
