I couldn't care less about locusts in India, Pakistan, or SW Asia OR famines in those locations. Maybe someone has some left over DDT.

There is absolutely zero chance "we" in the US starve. We have a huge surplus of almost every crop grown. The USDA just released the WASDE report today if you would like to learn something:

The low prices of commodities are indicative of the high supply we have and the low worldwide demand.

almost like the poor dog peta commercials to get us as in the USA  to feel sorry for the other country's we already dump billions of tax dollars into and sent them more .
one of  the things I liked about Trump saying ( I hope just not lip service )  Americans come first .
and by the way I have more compassion for the dogs than some other country where the rulers /dictators claim 90 to 99%  of any supplies or money sent to help there people
and last  I would be Ok to fund a huge team of doctors to sterilize all the  "starving people" who keep cranking out kids and holding out there hands for help ...including the ones we have here in the states

Just went on an ATV ride through the Owyhee Mountains. Plenty of Mormon Crickets there.

Anymore, most the people I see could stand to lose a few pounds.

A couple three years ago, my Son and I went to Dollywood (on my Co. as a benefit.)

After walking around all day, I commented to my Son, that if this Country ever got in Serious trouble. We were SERIOUSLY screwed.

The vast majority of Americans are grossly out of shape. It was just sad to observe. Disheartening.

"The USDA just released the WASDE report today if you would like to learn something:"
I work for the arm of USDA that generates most of the domestic data used in preparation of the WASDE. Although we're not expecting a nationwide bumper crop, there will be plenty of grain barring some growing season disaster.

Dispite  the prices you pay in the stores the farmers have it rough . Everything they buy and use to produce a crop is at the retail level . They sell everything at wholesale . Try making a living doing this in your own business

and every time the prices for your produced crops goes up the input costs go up and when the crops prices fall the input costs stay up......i have done this nonsense for a lifetime and wish i had chosen another path.....none of the grandkids want anywhere near agriculture and i do NOT blame them....get a good education,  get a licensure and earn and save up a bundle and then go back and play act at farming when you can afford to waste the money

No, sorry that must be accredited to the guy in a $1000 suit and Gucci loafers trading grain futures in Chicago.
