Home Invasion Update

A close friend was murdered last night in what looks like a home invasion. He didn't show up for work today & friends found him stabbed in the back of the neck. My best guess at this time is that someone dropped off 1 or 2 perps after 9 pm, who entered through an unlocked bedroom sliding door. He was found in the hallway leading from the bedroom. They stole his phone, car & guns. He didn't have much more of value. From blood tracks, they loaded the guns into his car & drove off. He was a very trusting person who didn't lock his vehicles, garage or house. He would also hire flunkies needing work for cash to work around he house. He was a known hunter & was a range safety officer at the local 4H. This is a semi-rural resort area which is normally safe. The car is a 2014 Hyundai which, isn't that special. I feel that he was targeted for his guns. I'll let you know more info as it comes available Be careful what you advertise about yourself and stay safe.

  I am glad they have made an arrest. From the sounds of it, there was no reason to go in while he was home, and kill him for a property crime. (Not that this was well thought out.)

  I hope the perp gets the absolute max. Life in Prison with no parole. That seems to be where this is heading. (Fingers crossed.)

  Yes. Nabbed him in Chattanooga. Hopefully we'll get some answers.
  Friends were at the house today cleaning up before family sees it.
