Ohio CCW Applications/Renewal Controlled by Facebook & Google!
Been trying to renew my Ohio CCW since the outbreak of the Chinese virus the Demoncrats colluded with the Chinese to unleash on America. The county sheriff suspended taking applications and renewals, but promised it would start again soon. The sheriff has this online system to make the required "appointment" and I've been checking it every few days. Well, today it actually came up but there was a message that said you had to use the "new" application/renewal form. So I clicked on it and the screen went to a pdf form that had some new questions, a section about applying for getting CLEO approval for class III weapons, and you could fill it out on-line. So I filled it out and went to print it out, because even though there was provision for you to sign it electronically, the sheriff's instructions warn that you're not "allowed" to sign it until you are in their presence during your "appointment". But low and behold, I discovered that in order to print it out you have to have a facebook or google account. Now I don't know about you folks, but I just don't feel all that comfortable knowing that these left-wing lunatic companies know that I have a ccw not to mention all of the other personal information on that form. I went ahead a made an appointment, but I'm going to use one of the "old" renewal forms and fill it out manually. Just hope some idiot with the county or state doesn't then take all of that and put it in the facebook / google database. Tried calling the State Attorney General's office but all I got was a recording saying they were closed now but their "hours of operation were 9 to 4, which was interesting because that means they were open for another 5 hours today.

Why don't you go to the state or county website and download a copy of the form. Here it is below. Facebook or Google has nothing to do with it.

If Google and FB becomes the key to CC renewal, there wont be any.0 -
Thanks for the suggestion Mr. Smitty, but I did go to my county's website. The link that you provided is to the "old" form. My question is whether I can still fill it out the old-fashioned way in ink and use it or whether I am "required" to use the new pdf form. It was my county sheriff's website that said I "had" to use the "new" form and provided the link which took me to the pfd form controlled by facebook and google. So I went to a couple of websites for the sheriff's of the surrounding counties and there was nothing about a "new" form. Years ago we were allowed to go through the sheriff's office of any contigious county, but I can't find anything saying we can still do that. I also tried calling my county sheriff's office to ask if it really required the "new" form and no one answered the phone. Next I tried the state's Attorney General website. It has the form you found, but the date on that form is 3/17, meaning it's already more than 3 years old. So I then tried to call the Attorney General's office, and only got a recording, telling me they were open until 4pm when it was only about 11am!!! I also tried to contact a couple of firearms groups in the state and got nothing but recordings there too. So, I'll try again Monday.... and Tuesday.... and .... Thanks again for your thoughts. 0 -
From the AG website.
%PDF-1.6 %???? 2995 0 obj >stream h??ks?8??c27?????j??4?8?\???al??T????m???R켚tӛ?xlB$Fill it out and take it with you. If your county is giving you grief, try another bordering county. My Sheriff started making it tough so I now drive a half hour to the next county so I can get proper service.

You could just riot and burn the place down.
Interesting that you will try to follow the law to protect yourself, a God given right enumerated in the US Constitution, to protect yourself from those who don't care about the rule of law.0
