Do you guys ever lighten the key ring?
I was looking at my key ring and thought to remove some keys I don't use. It's not like I have a pound of keys weighing me down. Then again if I take them off I might lose them?

I have a ring for each truck.
A ring for house, garage etc.
And a ring for the farm.

I've been thinking about buying one of those keypad door locks for my front door. If I do that then I wouldn't have to carry any keys with me. 0 -

I am trying to break old habits I had a key ring with all the cars/truck keys ,garage / poke barn / tool boxs and .... well you get the picture over time I just kept adding a key(s) . now I broke them down as a key ring for each vehicle and a house key with it . the keys to the out buildings I have on a separate ring also
I do have to make a trip to the house on occasion for a key but better than carrying all the keys with me .
when I worked construction I had a collection of keys most every contractor used a master pad lock I had a key to just about all the most common numbers, and most equipment J.D. Case what ever had a standard key that worked on just about every model of that company so I had of each they came in handy a lot of times . when I quit I gave my collection ( that took some years to accumulate ) to a co-worker .0 -
Lighten a key ring? Yes, when I tossed the keys to my former employers business out the window after I quit and no one bothered to ask they be returned. 6 -

I have to keep a massive set of keys on several attached together rings in my right front pocket.
They offset the weight and thickness of my wallet, kept in my left front pocket.
I have to remain balanced you know!

Usually just the vehicle key on a fob or micro-tool. Farm keys are on a loop of para-cord that hangs from the turn signal lever. No need for metal clanging and clanking around. 0 -
