Almost forgot a bi-pod for my project.
Go with the spring loaded kick stands or go for the silly priced massive shooting sticks? I bought a magazine with the comparison on the (then) latest and the greatest but I forgot which magazine. So while I'm looking for that magazine I thought to ask. I do have Parker Hales hanging out but I'll have to get pic. rail adapter (Versapod?). That would be cheap but heavy option. Not that the Maten is a petite rifle but I would like to keep her under 20 pounds.
That reminds me I need to get a scale to weigh her. I wonder if I could take my rifle to my neighbor and ask if I could borrow a scale? I can see that playing out "Hi, I'm your neighbor Yosh, can I borrow your scale?". I wonder if trigger pull scales go up to 20 pounds?

Since my car passed smog on the first go that surprised me since I was socking away cash for "repairs" I can go ahead with the bi-pod purchase. I was sure to go with Accu-Tac but I was bruising through a magazine and came across Cadex "Falcon" bi-pod. Their about the same price but unlike the Acu-Tac the Falcon has a "claw" foot that is functional. Accu-Tac has claw foot but one has to use the "spike" to attach the claw. Which basically resemble ski pole raising the claw foot like 1" from the floor. That was the other reason holding me back from the spendy cash drop.
Then again I did save cash so I could spend "crazy silly" money on Elite Iron "Revolution" bi-pod. I think the base price started at $700. I know what you're gonna say but you can shoot it upside down. Imagine shooting up in to the sky on your back with the bi-pod feet on the ground. I may have to see how much it'll be with "extras".
Now if only I could figure out who is selling/making those carry handles on CheyTac?

MAGPUL. Easy to attach, light weight, comes in a few colors (for the FDE fans) and it won't break your piggy bank:

Went with the Comp-Mag magazine so I don't have to break the action for reload. Besides she's a bench gun at 17 pounds.
Even with government funding I just could not spend the cash for a Cadex. I did get the newer Accu-Tac FC-5 G2 bipod.
I also got a mono-pod with the money saved.
She's a looker and I still need to take her out to the range.

I'd go for shooting sticks. Cost is variable from nearly nothing to over $100. I mostly use a Bog-Pod for places I don't have to walk far and simple crossed bamboo sticks connected with surgical tubing if I have a long hike or there's a possibility I might leave them laying somewhere.
FWIW, I practice shooting off the sticks prior to hunting and here's one major reason: I discovered that my POI varied by 6-8" @ 300 meters depending on how I held the forearm in/on the sticks. That's a total miss on a coyote and possibly a poor hit on deer/elk.
