Those that did not leave had there temporary lodging/belongings burned up by Gen. MacArthur and the troops. They had no place else to go. Wasted effort because they got their bonuses nine years early anyway.

Real shame is if you give them what they want it will set them back another hundred years.
Many years ago Jessie Jackson called out special treatment for blacks as holding them back from success, we all know that giving your children everything and not requiring them to learn the value of hard work and self determination destroys them, it doesn't help them.
If we give black people 100 Trillion dollars in reparations it won't ever be enough and it would kill them not help them.
Time to call a spade a spade, while their is no excuse for the behavior of some of these police officers the fact remains that if you are killed due to committing a crime I have a hell of a lot less sympathy. Hold the guilty accountable on all sides.
